Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber fought with former Manchester United striker Wout Weghorst during the Netherlands training session ahead of the UEFA Nations League against Germany on September 10, 2024.

During the training session, Timber clashed with Wout Weghorst, which prompted Dutch manager Ronaldo Koeman to aggressively intervene before it became beyond control.

In a video that has been all over social media, the Arsenal defender tackled Weghorst in an antagonistic manner. The striker who went down as a result of the tackle complained bitterly about the challenge.

This led to the pair exchanging words as the manager stepped in to deactivate the situation, saying, “I said something to you; I said something to them.” The former Manchester United striker continues to voice out how he feels about the tackle.

This prompts Koeman to loudly shout, “And now it is over.” Weghorst was not happy with the manager’s responses, and he left the training session in anger. Weghorst was visibly seen leaving on his bike.

Both players featured for the Dutch national team from the bench as the team defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 5-2 in the Nations League.

The Ajax striker, Weghorst, scored a late goal for the Orange as he continued his impressive record for his national team.

The big center forward has always been an integral part of the Dutch national team with a huge goal-scoring ability.

Weghorst was famously recognized for scoring two late goals in the quarterfinals against Argentina in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Netherlands Manager Koeman defends Manchester United center back Matthijs de Ligt for his horrible mistakes against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

De ligt was blamed for allowing Bosnia and Herzegovina to equalize after the Netherlands scored the first goal of the game. He was also at fault for their opponent’s second goal.

After the match, Koeman took to the defense of the Manchester United defender, saying, “He himself realizes that he was in the wrong position. This should not happen, but mistakes are part of football. I think it is unfair to make a big deal out of it.”

De Ligt’s error in the previous match might have cost him a place in the starting XI, with the Netherlands team preparing to play against a more difficult opponent, Germany.
