Arsenal’s new signing Willian has predicted that the club would win the Premier League title at the end of the 2021-2022 season. The 32-year-old Brazilian right-winger believes that the current coach of the club, Mikel Arteta is the right person that would lead the club to achieve such a feat.
Willian joined Arsenal from Chelsea during the 2020 summer transfer window on a free transfer. Before he joined the North London club for a three years deal, the Brazilian winger has won two Premier League titles with Chelsea ( 2014–15 and 2016–17 season).
Though he ruled out Arsenal from the clubs that are contending for the Premier League title this season, the winger who stressed that he intends to win more titles with Arsenal, noted that Mikel Arteta has the squad that can win the Premier League title within the next two seasons.
Arsenal has not come anywhere close to winning the Premier League in recent times. The last time the club won the Premier League title was at the end of the 2003-2004 season. Since then, the club has been settling for lesser titles like the Community Shield and the FA Cup.
Currently, the club has not been enjoying the best form as they have struggled to remain where Premier League title contenders are expected to be. As at the time of publishing this report, Arsenal was occupying the 9th spot on the league table after losing three matches and winning four matches in 7 league games.
Coach Mikel Arteta and his men who have been doing very well in the Europa League where they are currently topping the Group B table with 9 points in three games, have a date with Aston Villa in the league on Sunday. A win at the Emirate Stadium will either keep the club on the 9th spot or push the club a step further (depending on the performance of the teams above the club).

“Arsenal has a great coach and a great chance to fight for titles,” Willian told the Daily Mail.
“We can win the league. Maybe not this time but next time. I’m motivated to have more success.”
On the 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on November 1, Willian said: “That was a great victory at United and important for me to be part of as I know I have to impose my quality on the team,” Willian said. “That victory was a big step.
“The squad is good with great, young talent but they also need experienced players who have won things. It is not easy or quick to change a mentality but we are on the way.
“Clubs wanting to fight for titles can’t drop points like that when they are dominant. We need to win those games but we are on the way. I know we are. The next week we beat United. That tells you a lot.”
Amazing job today guys! Important 3 points! Come on Gunners! 💪👊 #arsenal #premierleague #W12 #gunners #3points pic.twitter.com/Ww2p32g654
