Leicester City player Wilfred Ndidi is facing a tough challenge with a recent groin problem and he is expected to have surgery soon. According to Leicester City manager Brendan Rodger, Wilfred Ndidi, Leicester City’s midfielder will undergo surgery to fix a groin problem. As a result, Wilfred will miss 12 weeks of all Football competitions.
The Nigerian national sustained the injury during Leicester’s premier league week 2 match against Burnely. Leicester won 4 – 2 in that match.
As expected, Ndidi, the Nigerian international player was absent from the squad as the Foxes faced Arsenal in the Carabao Cup earlier this week and he is not on the team sheet in today’s match against Manchester City.
This is what Brendan Rodger said while speaking after the midweek loss to the Arsenal (via Sky Sports News), Rodgers said: “We are just waiting to hear more on that, but he could be anything between six and 12 weeks.
“It is an abductor injury – it may have come off the bone which could be a nasty injury, so we will wait to see if needs an operation – it does then it will be 12 weeks.
