Tottenham Hotspur’s new managing director of football Fabio Paratici has insisted that the club does not plan to sell Harry Kane even though the player has publicly declared his desire to leave the club.

The football administrator who was in charge of transfers at Juventus before he joined Tottenham Hotspur in June 2021, described the England international as one of the best strikers in the world.

Since the summer of 2020, Harry Kane has been a subject of transfer speculation due to Tottenham’s inability to win trophies and play in the Champions League regularly.

Over the years, the 27-year-old English striker has proven that he is one of the most prolific strikers in the Premier League. He has won two Premier League top scorer awards but no team title to show for how good he has been.

He came very close to winning a title for Tottenham in 2019 when the club got to the final of the UEFA Champions League but they lost it to Liverpool. Ever since then, things have been getting from bad to worse for the club.

In the just-concluded season, Tottenham were on the edge of winning the Carabao Cup before they sacked Jose Mourinho, a coach most fans of the club thought would bring a winning mentality to the team. Days later, Tottenham went on to lose the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City and ended the season on the 7th spot on the league table.

Due to the poor run at the club, Kane wants to try his luck at a more ambitious club but Tottenham seem determined to block such a move.

Earlier, it was reported that Manchester City tabled a whopping £100 million for the services of the English striker but Spurs rejected the offer to prove that they are ready to sacrifice anything to make the club and England captain stay beyond this summer.

Based on his performance in the ongoing Euro 2020 where the 27-year-old striker has scored three goals in 5 games which helped England to the semi-finals stage of the tournament, it would be extremely difficult to keep suitors away from Harry Kane this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur’s new managing director of football Fabio Paratici has noted that Harry Kane is a complete player who can not only score a lot of goals but can provide a lot of assists.

This was evident in the 2020-2021 season in which Kane won the top scorer and playmaker of the season awards.

Aside from his abilities to score and provide assists, the football administrator who helped Spurs to appoint Nuno Espirito Santo as the new coach of the club, noted that the football star is a team player and one of the best three players in the world.

“Keeping him is not just my goal, it’s our goal as a club”, Paratici told Sky in Italy.

“I can’t wait to watch him play live, I’ve been really lucky in the past years because I’ve watched a lot of top players and strikers, like Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez, Alvaro Morata, Gonzalo Higuain, and many more which now I forgot about.

“Right now, he’s one of the best strikers in the world. He’s a complete player, really special. His physique is that of a real number nine, a true poacher, but he also has an incredibly refined technique.

“He can shoot with both feet and also provides many assists – very few people notice this because he scores so many goals.

“He’s a team player, but he’s a finisher at the same time, so really I believe he is among the top three in the world.

“I haven’t heard from him yet because I don’t want to bother the players who are busy at the Euros, it doesn’t seem fair to me. They’re focused on their own goals with their national teams.”

Harry Kane who is worth 120 million euros in the transfer market still has three years left on his contract with Tottenham but it might be difficult for him to stay that long at the club.
