With only a few games left in the Premier League this season, the race for the Golden Boot is heating up among the three main contenders. Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, Heung Min Son of Tottenham Hotspur, and Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United are the three leading candidates with the most goals thus far. Here’s a look at the season’s total goals and assists, along with some goal highlights from each player to keep you entertained;
Mohamed Salah (22)
Is anyone capable of catching Mohamed Salah? With only three games left in the season, the Liverpool forward has 22 goals. With a few games left in the season, Son Heung-min (20 goals) and Cristiano Ronaldo (18 goals) are leading the battle for the Golden Boot, but the Egyptian may now be out of reach.
Salah’s Liverpool teammates Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane (both with 15 goals) are similarly close behind him, but their chances of catching him are minimal. Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur scored his 20th league goal on Saturday, putting him just two goals behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in the Premier League Golden Boot competition.
Highlights of Mohamed Salah’s goals so far:
Salah is 1/1 to win the title for the third time, after sharing it with Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane 12 months after winning it outright. Heung-Min Son (20)
