Chelsea FC is reportedly ready to sign 21-year-old Houssem Aouar by all means necessary over the summer. Aouar, who currently plays for the French side Lyon has reportedly been monitored by the Blues for weeks now.

Stamford Bridge boss Lampard holds the Frenchmen will high regard and is ready to make a potential summer swoop for the France international. Chelsea will, however, have to act fast as the west London side will reportedly have competition from Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal in the summer for Aouar signature.

Lyon is believed to be ready to let the midfielder go provided they get €50m (£43m) for the youngster. New reports suggest Chelsea is ready to splash £43m on the Frenchmen after the talented player help set up Lucas Tousart’s 31st-minute winner in their 1-0 victory over Serie A giants Juventus. The victory saw the French side take the lead on aggregate in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash on Wednesday.

So far this season, Aouar has scored nine goals, have made seven assist in 34 games in all competition. Chelsea is in the process of rebuilding their squad and has already started after the West London side announced the signing of Hakim Ziyech. The Moroccan international signed to the Blues in a £33m deal from Dutch side Ajax.

Last week, Lampard’s men were disgraced as they were thrashed 3-0 at home to Bayern Munich in their first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash. Lampard is hopeful to turn things around in the second leg. Chelsea will also face a challenge on Tuesday as they take on Liverpool in their FA Cup fifth-round tie at Stamford Bridge.
