There is always a lot of buzz around the Ballon d’Or in the buildup to the award as pundits debate how deserves what. Over the years organizers of the award have successfully made the award a premium football award with millions of followers across the world.

Overall, Ballon d’Or winners are not entitled to particular stipends by the organizers of the award. However, clubs and brands can chose to offer them bonuses in appreciation of the feat. Such moves are usually a matter of discretion not a given.
Lionel Messi is the winner of 2023 Men’s Ballon d’Or award. It’s still unclear whether Inter Miami or Adidas will offer him a contract bonus for winning the award.
