From 2020–2022, McKennie and Ronaldo were colleagues for two seasons. They appeared to get along well, with Ronaldo calling him “Texas Boy” with fondness.

The American midfielder has since provided another illustration of his jocular relationship with his former teammate.

“He was getting a massage and I was walking by and said, ‘oh my gosh, your feet look terrible,” he recounted before being presented at Leeds.

“He said, ‘Friend, these feet are worth 1 billion euros.’

    “I said, ‘you right, respect.”

The striker’s assessment may not have been accurate, but there was some truth to his lighthearted remark.

According to reports from back in 2009, Real Madrid insured Ronaldo’s legs for $111 million after their top player’s knee injury scare.

Although McKennie’s days as Ronaldo’s teammate are ended, he should still have a lot of fun with Tyler Adams, a teammate and close friend from the USA who has been playing for Leeds since last summer.

The team also includes American Brenden Aaronson and manager Jesse Marsch, who will be hoping the gifted No. 8 will help them avoid relegation.

This week, Leeds and McKennie, 24, came to a deal for a loan with an option to purchase him for $37 million. He’ll wear shirt No. 28.

The agreement also has a loaning fee of $1.6 million.

Leeds, who are now in 15th position and one point above the relegation zone, have lost all six of their Premier League games.

Is Ronaldo’s Feet Really Worth €1 Billion?

Well, since that is coming from a former teammate, it could possibly have been a joke in the dressing room, but that does not mean the feet is worthless.

Real Madrid didn’t take any chances when they originally signed Cristiano Ronaldo back in 2009. After all, he’s widely regarded as one of the best football players of all time.

At the time, Real outdid themselves by insuring Ronaldo’s legs for an astounding £90 million, shattering the previous record-setting £80 million transfer fee.
