West Ham United have completed the signing of former Real Betis defensive midfielder Guido Rodriguez on a permanent deal as a free agent.

The Hammers are more interested in bolstering their midfield going forward into the 2024–25 season, and Rodriguez has been seen as an ideal man for the squad.

He is looking forward to playing in the 2024–25 Premier League season for West Ham United.

He was previously a transfer target for Barcelona under Xavi Hernandez; however, the deal to sign the player collapsed after the Catalonia giant sacked the club legend.

Rodriguez’s excellent tackle and ball interception will make him a good addition to the team. Also, he enjoys shooting from a distance, which will surely satisfy Julen Lopetegui’s playing style.

Rodriguez will be the fourth player West Ham have signed in the transfer window. They have completed the signing of Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme, and goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

The Hammars are still very active in the transfer window and will be looking forward to bringing in more transfer targets to London Stadium.

West Ham have verbally agreed with Manchester United on a deal to sign Aaron Wan Bissaka, but the stumbling block in the deal remains the transfer fee.

West Ham United want to sign the right-back for a fee worth £10 million but Manchester United want a transfer fee beyond £10 million.
