Arsenal visited the Selhurst Park Stadium to take on Crystal Palace. Coach Mikel Arteta and his boys made the stadium their home by beating their host 0-2 thanks to a 20th-minute goal from Gabriel Martinelli and an 85th-minute own goal from Marc Guéhi. Watch the explosive highlights below:
Fulham vs Liverpool
Coach Jurgen Klopp led Liverpool to the Craven Cottage and met with a very resilient Fulham side that gave the Premier League giants a good run for their money. The game which took place on Saturday, August 6, 2022, ended in a 2-2 draw. Aleksandar Mitrović scored two goals for Fulham, one of which was via a spot kick, while Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah helped Liverpool to equalize.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Southampton
Tottenham had a dream start to the 2022-2023 Premier League campaign as they beat their visitors Southampton 4-1 on Saturday, August 6. Interestingly, it was Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse that opened the scoring in the 12th minute. But from the 21st minute, Tottenham turned the game around courtesy of goals from Ryan Sessegnon (21′), Eric Dier (31′), and an own goal from Mohammed Salisu (61′); while Dejan Kulusevski sealed the victory for Tottenham in the 63rd minute.
Everton vs Chelsea
Chelsea visited Goodison Park on Saturday for their Premier League opener which was against Everton football club. Jorginho’s injury-time spot-kick in the first half was all that separated the two teams.
Manchester United vs Brighton
Brighton visited Old Trafford on Sunday, August 7, 2022, and the lowly rated club stunned Premier League giants Manchester United 2-1 away from home in their season opener. Two goals within nine minutes during the first half from Pascal Groß gave Brighton the victory and Manchester United’s consolation goal came through an own goal.
West Ham United vs Manchester City
Erling Haaland was all Manchester City needed to beat West Ham United in London Stadium on Sunday. The Polish striker scored a goal in each half to help Manchester City beat West Ham 2-0.
