A footage showing Cristiano Ronaldo and Juan Cuadrado exchanging some bitter truth during a Juventus vs Porto UEFA Champions League match has been released.

The new Amazon Prime documentary ‘All or Nothing: Juventus captured a moment Cristiano Ronaldo and Juan Cuadrado had to exchange words in the locker room because of the club’s poor performance in the Champions League game.

In the footage, Ronaldo and his teammates could be seen walking into the locker room after the first half of the Champions League round of 16 second-leg match at the Allianz Stadium.

Immediately they got into the locker room, Ronaldo began to rant about how poorly they performed in the first half in which their visitors scored a 19th-minute goal from the penalty spot.

While Ronaldo was ranting to the team telling them that they didn’t play well (including him), Cuadrado went to him in an attempt to calm him down. But his effort did not yield instant effect. Hence, Cuadrado reminded the 36-year-old Portuguese icon that he ought to be an example to the team.

Ronaldo: “We have to work harder. What the f***! We didn’t play at all! Nothing!”

Cuadrado: “Don’t worry”

Ronaldo: “We played s***, always!”

Cuadrado: “You must be an example for everyone”

Ronaldo: “I’m included too. We have to tell each other the truth, we played s***. This is a Champions League match, we need to have personality.”

Pirlo then interjected: “That’s enough, let’s go. That’s enough, Cri. That’s enough, Juan.

“We have to be calm and patient. We will continue in this spirit, but without arguing, with the posture of someone who wants to win.”

Unfortunately for them, Porto knocked them out on away goals rule because the Portuguese club won 2-1 in the first leg in Portugal.

At the end of the season (2020-2021), Juventus sacked Andrea Pirlo for his failure to win the Italian Serie A title and the UEFA Champions League which the club has been longing for.

To make matters worst for Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo decided not to wait for his contract with the club to expire before he requested that he wanted to leave.

In August 2021, the 5 times Ballon d’Or winner returned to Manchester United where he played between 2003 and 2009.

Since Ronaldo left Juventus at the end of last summer’s transfer window, the club has been struggling especially in the league. Also, the Manchester United that he returned to have been struggling in the Premier League.

United are currently occupying the 9th spot on the league table with 17 points in 12 games. While Juventus are currently occupying the 8th spot in Serie A with 21 points in 14 games.
