Bukayo Saka face-timed Kim Kardashian’s son and die-hard Arsenal little fan, Saint, after he failed to meet him at the players’ lounge at Emirates Stadium.
Kim Kardashian took his son, Saint, who is a die-hard fan of the Gunners to the Emirates Stadium to watch the Europa League round 16 return leg between the club and Sporting CP.
The Gunners took on Sporting CP in a dramatic and spirited clash which was dragged to penalties.
Xhaka gave the Gunners the lead in the 19th minute but Sporting CP fought back in the second half to score the equaliser.
Pedro Goncalves fired a long looping strike which curled like a projectile into the net from the halfway line.
The match went into penalties after it ended in a 3-3 aggregate draw after regulation and extra time.
In the shootouts, Gabriel Martinelli missed his penalty as the Portuguese club grabbed a 3-5 shootout victory to progress to the quarterfinals.
It was a disappointing game for Saint, who had joined her celebrity mother Kim Kardashian, 42, and thousands of Arsenal fans at the Emirates to watch the game.
Saint had wanted to meet Bukayo Saka after the game but missed out as the players headed into the dressing after the game.
24 hours after the game, Bukayo Saka face-timed the little boy, his friends, and family via a video call. It was a cool move by the Arsenal winger who was obviously happy that the celebrity’s son and fan graced the Emirates Stadium to watch the game with his mum.
In a video call shared by Kim Kardashian on her Instagram Story, Bukayo Saka spoke to Saint and his friends appreciating them.
He also tendered apologies for not being able to meet him in person
“Sorry that I missed you yesterday, they said that you were in the player’s lounge, I had a shirt for you”, the footballer said.
Saint and his friends blushed at Bukayo Saka’s intended offer.
A man’s voice in the background asked the boy to respond by promising to return to Emirates when Arsenal win the Premier League.
But Saint missed it and said, “we gonna come back if you win the Premier League.”
Bukayo Saka and Kim Kardashian then corrected him with a smile replacing the “if” with “when.”
Saint had reportedly waited in the players’ lounge to meet Bukayo Saka who is said to be one of his favorite players in the Arsenal squad but failed to meet him before the latter granted the video call and tendered the promise of a signed t-shirt if they come back to the Emirates.
Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League with five points and are hoping to win the Premier League title for the first time since 2003/04 football season.
Bukayo Saka has been instrumental in Arsenal’s Premier League title chase. He has scored 10 goals with 9 assists in 27 Premier League appearances.
