Bruno Fernandes and Raphael Varane were spotted enjoying a game of beach soccer with their sons during their family outing.

Raphael Varane appears to be thoroughly enjoying his break from football following the end of his contract with Manchester United.

The 31-year-old, who signed with the Premier League team for around €40 million in August 2021, has officially parted ways with the club after both sides decided not to extend his contract for another year.

Varane will make a comeback to the sport with Italian Serie A side Como in the forthcoming 2024-2025 season.

In the meantime, Varane is relishing his time away from the pitch with his son Ruben alongside Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes and his son Goncalo.

In a video that has gone viral, Varane and Fernandes are seen engaging in a friendly game of football with their young sons on a sandy beach.

The two football stars can be seen laughing and enjoying themselves as they kick the ball around with their children.

Many have commented on the heartwarming sight of the two footballers playing with their kids in such a relaxed manner.

One fan said: “this friendship duo is what we didn’t ever expect in our lives.”

Another wrote: “Bruno is serious with every damn thing. He’s just a kid.”

A third fan commented: ” He don’t even defend like this with Manchester United lol.”

Another wrote: “Amazing that they have normal lives. Thanks for sharing. I always thought these people were made up.”

Bruno Fernandes sent heartfelt message to Varane

Bruno Fernandes has sent a heartfelt message to Raphael Varane after his former Manchester United teammate signed for a new club this summer.

The 31-year-old French defender, Varane, joined United during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tenure in 2021 following his departure from Real Madrid for an initial fee of £34m.

Despite Solskjaer’s departure in 2021, Varane continued to play a key role under Erik ten Hag, who took over as manager in 2022.

The 31-year-old formed a strong partnership with Lisandro Martinez during Erik ten Hag’s first season at Old Trafford, and the duo made a significant impact during the 2022-23 campaign.

However, Varane saw his influence wane last season as he managed 32 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign.

Meanwhile, the Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has taken to social media to send out a message after Varane completed his move to Como.

Sharing a photo of Varane, Fernandes called the former France international “Rolls-Royce” and shared a heart emoji alongside his message.

As Varane prepares for his next move in his football career, it is clear that he is making the most of his time off by creating lasting memoires with his son.

The former Real Madrid star will play under former Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas, who was appointed head coach of Como in July.

Meanwhile, the latest Como signing claimed that he is looking forward to meeting Cesc Fabregas again, having played against the Como manager when Varane was a Real Madrid player.

Varane said: “I will meet Cesc again, but this time not as an opponent.”

“I am very happy, I really like his playing philosophy and his passion for football.”

Meanwhile, Fernandes is expected to continue to enjoy a well-deserved break before the start of the new football season.
