The 2021-2022 season has been very fair for both Real Madrid and Liverpool. The two European giants will crown the fruitful season with a UEFA Champions League final on May 28, 2022. Ahead of the clash, Real Madrid’s winger, Vinicius Junior gave some hints on how the Spanish club can beat the Premier League club.

Note that ahead of the UEFA Champions League final which will take place in Paris, France on Saturday at 20:00, Liverpool won the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. They almost won the Premier League title but Manchester City stole the title with just a point difference.

As for Real Madrid, they won the 2021-2022 Spanish La Liga with 18 points difference between them and second-placed FC Barcelona which is unprecedented.

On their way to the UEFA Champions League final, Madrid met some of the toughest opponents in Europe. Recall that in the round of 16 stage, Real Madrid knocked out star-studded Paris Saint Germain. Madrid’s critics called the triumph over PSG luck.

To prove that they were not just lucky, Real Madrid met the reigning winners of the Champions League, Chelsea, in the quarter-final stage, and coach Carlo Ancelotti and his boys knocked out the Premier League club.

Yet, some critics still believe that Real Madrid scaled through to the next round out of luck. But they proved again that they were not just lucky by knocking out Manchester City in the semi-final stage.

Now, they have to confirm how dominant they are over Premier League clubs by beating Liverpool in the Champions League final on May 28, 2022.

Ahead of the final, Vinicius Junior who has contributed three goals and seven assists in 12 Champions League games this season, said Real Madrid can beat Liverpool if the Spanish club could match Liverpool’s strength and intensity.

Vinicius Junior proves that he has no fear for what Liverpool have to offer by urging the Premier League side to present their best players for the Champions League final.

“Hopefully they play with all of them”, Vinicius Junior added. “We want an amazing match between two teams with all their players. With 100 percent concentration. And both fighting for the most important thing, which is the Champions League.

“We watch a lot of Liverpool games. They are a great team with a lot of strength and a lot of intensity. If we match that against them… we will win for sure.”

Vinicius didn’t stop there, the 21-year-old Brazilian left-winger who has scored 21 goals and provided 20 assists in 51 games in all competitions this season, hopes that the Champions League final will be “a great game like all the games in the knockout stages of the Champions League”.

“They were excited for us, but they were beautiful games”, he added. “Now we have the match every player wants to play. We have the privilege that almost all the players here have played in many finals and that’s reassuring for us. Hopefully, it will be a great game.”

If Real Madrid manage to beat Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League final on May 28, 2022, they will become the first club in Europe to win the UEFA Champions League a record 14 times. But if Liverpool win, they will become the joint-second most successful club in the tournament with seven Championship League titles.
