Despite persistent transfer rumors, the agent of Victor Osimhen, Roberto Calenda has asserted that no talks between his client and Manchester United.

On Friday afternoon, August 26, Osimhen’s agent addressed the lingering transfer rumors on Twitter saying “no exchanges; no negotiations in process.”

“Victor Osimhen is a Napoli player who, after earning it [qualifying] on the field with pride alongside the coach and teammates, aspires to participate in the Champions League with Napoli”, the agent added.

Osimhen is among the best in the business. The 23-year-old scored 18 goals and provided six assists for Napoli in 33 games last season. He helped the team to qualify for this season’s prestigious UEFA Champions League campaign.

Osimhen possesses every quality required to be successful in the Premier League. He is 6 feet tall, powerful, and extraordinarily swift.

The international player from Nigeria still has a long career ahead of him. Osimhen is worth about £80 million to Napoli.

Napoli striker in action

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, is anxious to bring a top center-forward to Old Trafford before the transfer market closes next week.

In our opinion, the ideal choice would have been Napoli hitman Osimhen. However, it appears that United have no chance of acquiring him this summer.

Unfortunately for United supporters, it appears like the striker will remain with Napoli, at least for this upcoming season.

According to sources in Italy, Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, was reportedly trying to arrange a swap deal with Napoli in which Osimhen would go the other way as Ronaldo pursues a move away from Manchester United in search of Champions League football.

However, Roberto Calendar, the Nigerian striker’s agent, promptly refuted those assertions.

If the rumours tying Osimhen to Manchester United are untrue, it will leave the Red Devils scurrying to find a striker.

Given that the transfer window is closing in a matter of days, Erik ten Hag’s situation is far from ideal.

Due to Manchester United’s absence from the Champions League, which the 23-year-old is interested in competing in, the rumored swap deal may have fallen through.

On the other hand, five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo is very interested in playing Champions League football this year because he holds the record for most goals scored in that competition.

As the transfer market enters its final few days, everything for Manchester United is starting to seem a bit desperate.

Ronaldo’s potential departure seems extremely unlikely, but this may not have an impact on Ten Hag’s search for a different striker.

If Victor Osimhen, a former Lille player, decides to leave Naples this summer, Italian Serie A team Napoli have their eyes on Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu as a potential replacement.

Although Osimhen’s departure from the Diego Maradona Stadium is not imminent, Napoli is prepared to rapidly bring in a replacement for the 23-year-old if his transfer later comes to reality.
