The Bayer Leverkusen striker failed to convert clear-cut chances in the Super Eagles’ 1-0 win against the Libyan side.

After the match against Libya, Boniface was under heavy criticism from Nigerians, who were extremely critical of the player’s performance.

Oshimen was not invited for the doubleheader against the Libya national team. He is currently in Turkey, nursing the muscle injury he sustained during a match for the Galatasaray side.

However, the Galatasaray striker is likely to play for the Super Eagles in the next international break, which comes in November 2024.

The clinical striker will be a great addition to the Super Eagles team when he returns to the starting XI. The team missed his scoring and aerial ability, coupled with his strength on the ball.

In addition, the manager believes the Bayer Leverkusen attacker will find the back of the net for the Super Eagles.

He continued saying, “So if he decides on time, I think Boniface will score a lot of goals. I will speak to him about that.”

The Super Eagles national team will travel to Libya for the second leg of the African Nations Cup qualifiers on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. WAT.
