Victor Osimhen has made his choice on the league he would rather play in between the MLS and Saudi Pro League.
Osimhen, who is currently nursing an injury, sustained in an international duty with Nigeria, made this known in an interview conducted on Twitch.
Victor Osimhen joined Napoli from LOSC Lille on September 1, 2020, for a fee of €75 million.
The 24-year-old has been outstanding in attack for the Neapolitans, and he was linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League last summer.
Napoli rejected all advances from Al Hilal, including a groundbreaking offer of €140 million to sign the Nigerian.
However, they could be tempted in the January transfer window, given the happenings involving the club and the player in the past few weeks.
Following his penalty miss against Bologna on September 24, 2023, Napoli released a TikTok video spiting their player.
Some individuals have since taken the fall for it, and Victor Osimhen has also apologized to coach Rudi Garcia for his outburst when he was substituted in that encounter.
Victor Osimhen choice between the MLS and Saudi Pro League
Speaking in a Twitch individual, with former AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli and present Ascoli shot-stopper, Osimhen expressed that he would prefer to play in the MLS, where Lionel Messi plays, than in the Saudi Pro League, where Cristiano Ronaldo plays.
The 24-year-old said: “If I had the same conditions, I would go to MLS [over the Saudi Pro League)”.
Victor Osimhen was also linked with top European clubs during the summer transfer window, including; Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Chelsea.
The Nigeria international had a sublime season with Napoli last campaign, helping the club win the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years.
Osimhen scored 26 goals and provided 5 assists to finish as the Serie A top-scorer last season.
He also had an impressive goal return in the UEFA Champions League, scoring 5 goals and providing no assists in 6 matches.
The former VFL Wolfsburg forward could also be relishing the prospect of playing in the Saudi Pro League, given the amount of football stars present in the league.
Football great Cristiano Ronaldo plays in the league, alongside legendary names like Karim Benzema, Neymar, and Sadio Mane amongst others.

Victor Osimhen also acknowledged the efforts the administrators of the Saudi Pro League have put into growing the league.
He said: “They are trying to develop their league, which is good. One [Ronaldo] of the greatest of all time has gone there.
“Because of his [Ronaldo’s] influence, they have attracted a lot of talented players to also go there.
“So, for me, it’s really good, they are trying to build their league into one of the best. For me, they are doing something amazing.”
Victor Osimhen has scored 103 goals and provided 25 assists in 201 appearances so far in his football career.
