    Victor Osimhen has become the 6th most expensive signing in the history of Italian Serie A after joining Napoli from French Ligue 1 club Lille. The deal which took over three months to complete was officially sealed last weekend.

    According to reports, the 21-year-old Nigerian forward signed a 5-year deal with the Italian Serie A club which is worth between 70 to 80 million euros. Osimhen landed this deal in less than one year after he signed for Lille from RSC Charleroi for just €22.40 million on 1 August 2019.

    While at Lille, he featured in 38 competitive matches, scoring 18 goals and made 6 assists. Osimhen ended the 2019/2020 season as Lille’s best footballer, 5th highest goalscorer in the league, and the best African player in the league.
