Napoli goal poacher Victor Osimhen and Afrobeat star Peter Okoye met on Wednesday and they indeed had a jolly good time.
Peter Okoye made it known via his Instagram account where he posted pictures of the meeting which he captioned: “About last night with our very own World Best”.
The Nigerian International Osimhen was in Nigeria enjoying the International break after representing the Super Eagles in their double header against Guinea Bissau.
Although Osimhen didn’t score any goal, many still appreciated his efforts for the Super Eagles Of Nigeria, as they look to book their place at the African Cup Of Nations that will go down in Ivory Coast next year.
It was a meeting involving music and sport, arguably the two biggest sources of entertainment in the world and both entities are gems in their craft.
Victor Osimhen is on the verge of lifting the Serie A with Napoli and he is also on course to finish the season as top scorer.
If they win the Italian top-flight league, they would become the first side since the time of Diego Armando Maradona to win it.
Peter Okoye also used the opportunity to tell the world to continuing enjoying his “FOLLOW MY LEAD” song across all music streaming platforms.
Victor Osimhen is only two goals away from becoming the African with the most goals scored in the history of the Italian Serie A.
The President of Liberia and former AC Milan forward George Weah scored 46 goals throughout his time in the Serie A but Victor Osimhen has netted 45 goals so far.
It is certainly not a million dollar guess that he might possibly smash that record in the current league campaign.
The 24-year-old handed his iconic No 9 jersey of Napoli to Peter Okoye and he also penned his signature on the shirt when he visited the musician’s mansion in Lagos on Wednesday.
Victor Osimhen has scored 15 goals in 24 appearances for Nigeria and he is 17 goals away from matching the all-time top scorer for the National team, the Legendary Rashidi Yekini.
Osimhen’s side Napoli are also in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League and one can’t put it beyond them to go all the way to lift the title.
Napoli have lost just a game in the Champions League this season and they can be considered as a side that can lift the title this season.
The Neapolitans best shot at a European trophy was in the 1988/99 campaign where they won the UEFA Europa League.
Victor Osimhen has been touted as possible name that might exit the side based in Naples and Chelsea have been named as a potential team that he might be heading to.
Peter Okoye is a big fan of Chelsea and anything is indeed possible. Probably the lethal poacher of Napoli might be at Stamford Bridge next season as Chelsea continue their hunt for a quality top 9.
