Week 3 of the premier league will be one to remember due to many strange things that have happened already. From bad VAR calls to COVID issues, bad refeereeing, among many other things.
VAR has made some questionable calls that got all football players, fans, and coaches confused. Yesterday, VAR awarded a penalty to Manchester United after the game was over. Today, VAR gave Newcastle a penalty at the dying minutes of the game. As a result, Newcastle equalized and Tottenham spurs coach Jose Mourinho was so angry that he stormed off the pitch before the penalty was taken. See the video above.
Also Newcastle goalie Karl Darlow was wonderful at the goal post today. He made many saves to keep his team in the game.
Jose Mourinho Post-match interview.
This is what Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho said during the press conference with the media ” We had a good performance, the first half was amazing. we hit the post many times and managed to survive. The second half, we had control, kept them away from our box, we know the danger of the box. Our box is a special box, Tottenham Hotspurs box is special, so we manage to keep Newcastle always away. And we had a situation that we lost 2 points, but I am not going to call it out”.
“I reacted during the game to the handball, the game is finished, and I will not address the issue. If I want to give money away, I will give it to charity and I do not want to give money to the FA so. Therefore, I will not comment on the VAR issue in this game.”- Jose Mourinho added
