The USMNT will compete in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar in just over six months from the time of publishing this report. But first, there are two friendlies and Nations League games on the schedule this summer.
The USMNT will play England, Iran, and one of Scotland, Ukraine, or Wales at the World Cup, but Gregg Berhalter’s team will first play a pair of friendlies against World Cup-qualified teams, as well as their first two CONCACAF Nations League games, this summer.
Two further friendly will most likely be announced later this summer during the September international window, which is the sole opportunity throughout the first half of the (condensed) 2022-23 European club season.
Players must be released by their clubs by Nov. 14, with the tournament beginning one week later on Nov. 21, and the USMNT kicking off the first day of competition with their first game.
