The world’s fastest athlete, Usain Bolt, revealed he suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon after he was taken away from the pitch on a stretcher in the Soccer Aid match on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

The Olympic gold medalist was taken off after a brutal tackle from actor Danny Dyer at the edge of the penalty box.

Bolt revealed the extent of his injury via a social media post, saying, “Ruptured Achilles, but done know we a warrior.”

Soccer Aid

The Jamaican captained the Mauricio Pochettino World XI side at Stamford Bridge, London, in an annual charity match that was put in place to raise funds for UNICEF.

The England team that went into the Soccer Aid match with five defeats from the five previous Soccer Aid games, scored the first goal of the game against the Pochettino side.

The first England goal was scored by former Chelsea winger Joe Cole. The World XI came back into the game after Eden Hazard scored a beautiful free kick.

Before Usain Bolt was taken off against the England team, he created an excellent chance for Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero, who converted the chance to put the World XI ahead.

England equalised a few minutes later through a female football player named Ellen White. She became the first female footballer to score a goal in the history of the event.

Dragons Den star Steven Bartlett made it 3-2 for England. The momentum in England continued to grow in the second half of the game, with Jermaine Defoe scoring in the 60th minute of the game.

World XI got a goal back through Tommy Wingrove, who scored via a penalty. The game ended in favour of England, who defeated Mauricio Pochettino’s side 6-3.

Soccer Aid fans claimed Tommy Fury Has Never Watched a Football game After The Boxer’s Horrible Blunder

Soccer Aid fans were shocked to see the action of Tommy Fury after the boxer threw in the ball in an unexpected manner at the Soccer Aid match.

The former Love Islander threw the ball under his arm after coming on as a substitute in the Soccer Aid match between England and the Mauricio Pochettino World XI.

He held the ball above his head on the sideline as he assessed where to throw the ball. After a lack of options, the boxer moved the ball below his waist and rolled it to his players.

The ball was quickly given back to another player to throw it properly. The fans reacted to the scene, signifying Fury’s lack of knowledge of football’s basic rules.

Some fans believed that Tyson Fury’s younger brother had never watched football.

A fan said, “Tommy Fury has just actually done an underarm throw-in, absolutely mad that he doesn’t know the rules of football.”

Another fan said, “Look at the state of this. I don’t know why he keeps getting invited back, and what is he doing? I am crying.”
