USA demolished St Kitts and Nevis with a dramatic 6-0 victory in CONCACAF Gold Cup second match at CITYPARK Missouri.
The CONCACAF giants raised the bar in the tournament as they hurled in three quick goals in less than four minutes in the first 15 minutes to grab an emphatic first win in the competition.
They wrestled the game from the lowly-rated side, dominating proceedings from the start and looking set to grab their first win of the competition.
A sparkling start saw the team clampdown on St Kitts and Nevis with three quickfire goals to become the first USMNT squad to hit three goals in a span of three minutes in a competitive match.
Great team play coupled with individual brilliance saw the CONCACAF giants ran out with a big 6-0 win after the final whistle.
Birthday boy Bryan Reynolds became the second USMNT player to score on his birthday for the team after Earnie Stewart did so in 2001.
Also on the scoresheet for the USA was Djordje Mihailovic and FC Dallas forward Jesus Ferreira. Jesus Ferreira hit a hat-trick for the team, becoming the first player in USMNT to record double-digit goals in 20 games for the team.
USA CONCACAF Gold Cup Match Results
The win against St Kitts and Nevis saw the USMNT secure their first three points in the competition. Callaghan-led squad opened their Gold Cup campaign with a dramatic 1-1 draw against Jamaica.
It was a near defeat for USA but Brandon Williams and Matt Turner pull heroic displays to salvage a point for the team. Matt Turner saved a penalty while Brandon Vazquez scored a late equaliser to rescue a point for the team after trailing by a lone goal.
USA needed a win against St Kitts and Nevis to stand a chance of qualifying to the next round of the competition.

The CONCACAF Gold is a continental association football for men’s national teams in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. It was founded in 1991 as a successor to CONCACAF Championship.
The tournament is held every two years. The structure is similar to the format of most football competitions. Teams are divided into round robin groups where they faced each other before qualifying for single-elimination knockout stages.
Mexico is the most successful team in the competition with 8 titles followed by USA with 7 titles.
