The Champions League draw was completed yesterday, with various football clubs placed in difficult-to-qualify groups and others receiving a simple and familiar team. A group of deaths have been identified after the draw.
Group C includes the German champions and six-time Champions League winners, Bayern Munich. Barcelona were placed as the second team in the group. Serie A runners-up in the league title were the third team.
Viktoria Plzen
Viktoria Plzen, the Czech Republic’s champion, joins the ranks of other European heavyweights. Viktoria Plzen should be regarded as the underdogs in the group and will surely be beaten home and away, ending up with zero points.
They have participated for five seasons in European football. The club has participated in 42 UEFA matches, resulting in 24 wins, six draws and twelve defeats.
Plzen have avoided defeat in five of the nine matches they have played at home at this stage of the Champions League.
Bayern Munich
The last time Bayern Munich lost a match in the group stage was five years ago. They are the most dominating team in Europe and have kept a perfect record in their league.
Both teams will be motivated by the fact that Robert Lewandoski will be playing against his former team, which will increase motivation for both teams. Barcelona and Bayern Munich have met 13 times in the tournament, with the Bavarians winning nine times.

Inter Milan are on top of the Serie A table after winning their first two matches.
Although Inter Milan are a very strong team, it will be hard for them to qualify for the round of 16 in that group. Inter Milan are likely to move to the Europa tournament.
Barcelona FC
The Barcelona squad have various attacking options Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ferran Torres, Ousmane Dembele, Robert Lewandoski.
The five-time Champions League winners are title favourites. They will be without their highest goal scorer, Lionel Messi. Xavi has to look for a way to survive this group.
Because of the World Cup, the group stage games will start on September 6, 2022 and end on November 2, 2022 instead. The final will also take place in Istanbul, Turkey.
