Lionel Messi is set to join American side Inter Miami after his exit from French champions Paris St-Germain on June 30, 2023.
The former Barcelona and PSG star will reject a more lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal for a deal with Inter Miami which includes collaboration from brands like Adidas and Apple.
The 35-year-old Messi who is a 7 times Ballon d’Or winner is expected to win another Ballon d’Or following his success at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
This will be the first time Lionel Messi will be playing outside of Europe should he sign for the Major League Soccer team.
Messi intended to remain in Europe for another season but, after no satisfactory offers were received, he had the straight choice of Inter Miami or Al-Hilal.
Real Madrid Reach Agreement For Jude Bellingham
Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign England midfielder Jude Bellingham for 100m euros (£86m).
Bellingham, 19, joined Dortmund from Birmingham City in July 2020. He was one of England’s top performers at last year’s World Cup.
Bellingham is keen on the move to Santiago Bernabeu and will have a medical in the next few days.
The midfielder, who has been linked with some of Europe’s top-fight teams, will sign a six-year deal.
Aston Villa Set To Sign Tielemans, Laporte and Pau Torres
Aston Villa are on the verge of signing Belgium midfielder Youri Tielemans, 26, after his departure from Leicester following their relegation. (Athletic)
