Transfer news updates: Inter Milan manager Simeone Inzaghi signed a one-year contract extension, which will keep him at the club until 2026. His previous contract was due to expire on June 30, 2025.

The 48-year-old guided the Inter Milan side to their first Scudetto win in three seasons. He also helped the Inter Milan team secure the runner-up spot in the 2022–23 Champions League season.

Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta confirmed the contract extension, saying, “Today, we begin a new journey together; our jersey will be embellished with the tricolour and the legendary second star, which we will carry with us for years to come.” 

“We will still have coach Simone Inzaghi with us. It is with great pleasure that I want to inform you that our relationship with Simone will continue until 2026, with the hope of continuing it even further.”

Nuno Tavares joins Lazio on a five-year contract

Arsenal Flop Nuno Tavares is set to join Serie A giant Lazio for a five-year contract. The contract will expire on June 30, 2029. Tavares will travel to Lazio for medicals pending other formal documentation.

The North London club will receive €9 million for the transfer.

His move to Lazio may be the beginning of a new era of success for the Portuguese.

Yukinari Sugawara Signs a Four-Year Contract With Southampton 

The newly promoted Premier League side Southampton have signed Yukinari Sugawara from AZ Alkmaar for a fee worth €7 million.

Southampton, who are looking forward to staying in the Premier League next season, signed the Japanese defender to bolster their squad. 

Sugawara is a very versatile player, coupled with his defensive prowess. His ability to defend aggressively makes him a strong addition to the Southampton squad. 

Alessandro Buongiorno undergoes medical treatment as a new Napoli player

Napoli’s new signing Alessandro Buongiorno began his medical at Stadio Maradona after completing a move from Torino to the Napoli side.

He revealed that he discussed extensively with the Napoli manager, Antonio Conte, before joining the club.

Buongiorno said “Conte was motivated, and he motivated me too. I am very happy. We have often spoken in this period.”

The Torino defender won’t be joining the Napoli side for the preseason. He will be going on holiday because he was part of the Italy squad in the Euro 2024.

Troy Parrott leaves Tottenham and joins AZ Alkmaar on a deal worth around €8 million

Eredivisie giant AZ Alkmaar signed Tottenham Hotspur youngster Troy Parrot for €8 million. The 22-year-old star will be leaving the Tottenham Hotspur team for the first time in seven years. 

Parrot’s contract was due to expire on June 30, 2025, but the Tottenham side sold him permanently before his contract expires.

He had an impressive loan spell at AZ Alkmaar, where he scored 17 goals and created five assists in all competitions.

The Irish striker spent the majority of his career on loan away from Tottenham Hotspur. From 2020–2023, he spent his loan tenure at Milwall, Ipswich Town, MK Dons, and Preston North End.

Houssem Aouar Has Agreed Personal Terms With Al Ittihad From AS Roma

AS Roma midfielder Houssem Aouar agreed personal terms with Saudi Arabian giant Al Ittihad. Aouar is focusing on leaving AS Roma just after a season at the club.

AS Roma have received an offer from the Middle East giant, Al Ittihad.

He was unable to establish himself at AS Roma.

Albert Sambi Lokonga is set for medical treatment as a new Sevilla player on loan.

Arsenal midfielder Sambi Lokonga will undergo medicals at Sevilla ahead of his loan move to the Spanish side. 

He is looking forward to joining the football club for the upcoming season, with the option to make it a permanent deal for €10 million included in his contract.

If Sevilla decide to sign him on a permanent deal, Arsenal will get a 25% sell-on clause. The midfielder contract with Arsenal is expected to expire on June 30, 2025.

The midfielder joined Arsenal from Anderlecht for a fee worth £16 million in 2021. The Belgian made an impressive start in his first season at the club, but he fell down the pecking order.

Joshua Zirkzee Starts Medical Tests as a New Manchester United Player

Manchester United’s new signing Joshua Zirkzee flew to the UK for medical and a face-to-face meeting with Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag.

He will sign a five-year contract with the club, which is expected to end on June 30, 2029, with the option of extra years.

The Dutch striker scored 12 goals and created seven assists in all competitions last season. His stellar performance helped the Bologna team qualify for the Champions League.

He becomes Manchester United’s first signing under the INEOS management. The club are negotiating to sign more players before the end of the transfer window.

Dani Olmo Reveals The Latest On His Future 

During a press conference, Olmo revealed the latest on his future, saying, “Clause until July 20? Yes, if clubs want me, they know what they can do.”

“There’s time until July 20 for the clause; otherwise, later, it’d be tough negotiations. I’m under contract at Leipzig, and I want to win titles.”

According to various transfer news, he has been linked to Liverpool, but the Reds are not ready to trigger his buyout clause. The midfielder has been impressive for Spain in Euro 2024, scoring three goals in the competition.
