Mason Mount

Manchester United could part ways with their midfielder Mason Mount, one year after signing him from Chelsea.

According to HITC, the Old Trafford club are open to selling the 25-year-old this summer after a disappointing debut campaign with the club.

Mount made only 14 Premier League appearances for Manchester United last season, scoring one goal. He struggled with niggling injury crisis that gutted his minutes for the club.

With Mason Mount on the exit route from United, the club are reportedly close to signing French midfielder Adrien Rabiot. Rabiot, who emerged as Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag’s top transfer target since last summer, is now a free agent after running down his Juventus contract.

He has reportedly rejected a new contract from the Turin-based outfit and is prioritizing a move to the Premier League. United are reportedly close to brokering a deal for the 29-year-old, as per Goal.

Setford, 18, plays for Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie but is reportedly open to a move to the London outfit.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are reportedly set to secure their first signing of the summer after reaching an agreement on both club and personal terms for highly-rated Italy and Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori.
