Manchester United and Arsenal are set to lock horns for the services of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
Guehi, who is currently in action for England national team in Euro 2024, has emerged as a top target for two Premier League Clubs.
Meanwhile, The Sun reports that the highly-sought defender has turned down a new contract offer from Crystal Palace and wants to take up a new challenge away from the Eagles.
Manchester United close to Joshua Zirkzee’s move
Manchester United are set to seal a deal for Joshua Zirkzee soon. Personal terms have been agreed with Bologna’s £34m set to be met by the club.
Meanwhile, the Guardian reports Manchester United are now discussing terms on payment for the 23-year-old. It is understood that Johsua Zirkzee is primed by United as a backup forward for Rasmus Hojlund.
While United close in on Joshua Zirkzee, they are also set to close a deal with Olympique Marseille for Mason Greenwood.
Greenwood, 22, has one year left on his Manchester United and is set for a summer transfer exit from Old Trafford.
Marseille have reportedly tabled a £35m bid for the player with talks ongoing with Manchester United. Futballnews understands Manchester United want £40m for the youngster but could be forced to settle for a cut-price deal with no offer yet to meet the asking price.
Another big update in the Man United transfer report is the club’s shock interest in Chelsea defender Ben Chillwell. According to The Sun, United have made a shock move for Chillwell to add to their defensive options next summer.
The 27-year-old has three years left on his Chelsea contract but faces an uncertain future amidst the continuous change of hands in the club’s dugout.
Arsenal close to Riccardo Calafiori deal
Arsenal are close to completing the signing of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna. The London outfit have reached an agreement on personal terms and are advancing in talks with Bologna for the young defender. According to the Guardian, a deal could be sealed in a matter of days, not weeks.
Following the club’s financial crisis in the past seasons, Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, has confirmed the club is in a strong financial position to afford the signing of prolific Athletic Bilbao forward, Nico Williams.
The 21-year-old has a £49m release clause on his contract with Barcelona ready to activate the clause. Arsenal have been strongly linked with Nico Williams but sources close to the player reveal he wants to continue his career in La Liga.
