Brentford head coach Thomas Frank confirmed the player had to be dropped from the squad due to uncertainties surrounding his future at the club.
Now, according to Teamtalk, Saudi club Al-Ahli are close to a move for the player and have flown to England for talks with Brentford. Meanwhile, Sky Germany reports Manchester United are not interested in a move for the forward despite recent links.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City future confirmed
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has entered the last lap of his contract with Manchester City this season. It is unclear whether the 53-year-old will sign a new contract with the club at the expiration of his current deal. Sky Sports reports Guardiola will decide his future at City by December 2024, midway into the current campaign.
Alex Moreno transfer news update
Premier League club Nottingham Forest is set to rival three La Liga clubs – Villarreal, Sevilla, and Valencia – for the services of Aston Villa player Alex Moreno.
Moreno, 31, plays as a defender for the Aston-based club and could return to his homeland, Spain, should any of the three Spanish clubs succeed in signing him this summer.

Greek club Panathinaikos are reportedly interested in a move for out-of-favor Manchester United defender Facundo Pellistri. According to Sky Sports, talks have resumed between United and the Greek club for the Uruguayan midfielder.
