Bayern Munich reject Manchester United offer for defensive duo
Bayern Munich have rejected Manchester United’s first official bid for defensive duo – Mathis de Ligt, 24, and Noussair Mazraoui, 26.
David Ornstein of the Athletic confirmed United have tabled an undisclosed official bid for the two defenders. It was a joint bid, expected to pay for the services of the two footballers. With the offer now turned down, United are expected to submit another improved offer for the duo.
Futballnews understands that Bayern Munich are open to the exit of the two defenders but at the right offer. Meanwhile, United have reportedly agreed on personal terms with both.
Newcastle United make shock move in favour of Anthony Gordon’s contract amidst interest from Liverpool
Newcastle United are set to resist every attempt by Premier League rivals to poach Anthony Gordon from the club this summer. The England international, who has four years left in his deal with the Magpies, has attracted interest from Liverpool. To avert Liverpool’s interest, Newcastle United have reportedly decided to open talks with the player for a possible new contract.
West Ham United target Argentina international
West Ham United are said to be interested in a move for 30-year-old Argentina international Guido Rodriguez. Rodriguez has been released from his Real Betis contract after it expired this summer.
