Transfer News: Serie A side Como have completed the signing of former Barcelona defender Sergi Roberto.
The centre-back signed a two-year contract with Como, and it is expected to expire on June 30, 2026, plus the option for further season at the Serie A club.
Fabregas played a crucial role in convincing the board to sign the versatile player with different attributes.
He understands the experience and value the centre back will bring to the squad. Roberto will be paired with Raphael Varane in the heart of the Como defense, as the club are looking forward to staying beyond the 2024–25 Serie A campaign.
It was revealed that even though he had a lot of offers from other leagues, especially the Premier League, Roberto chose Como over the others.
Como Football Club have been extremely ambitious in the transfer market, making important signings for their less experienced team.
They want to compete at the highest level and make the fans extremely pleased watching the team they have always supported during their Serie B days.

He had received 63 yellow cards and three red cards so far in his career. Out of the 26 goals scored, 19 were for Barcelona and seven for Barca Athletic.
Also, he made his international debut for the Spain national team on March 27, 2016. Roberto scored a goal in 11 appearances for the country.

Newcastle Right back Kieran Trippier Wants To Leave Magpies For More Playing Chances
English right back Kieran Trippier wants to leave Newcastle United to get more playing time, with Everton currently monitoring the player’s situation.
Trippier was signed by Newcastle from Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid in 2022. The English star played an important role in the club’s popularity in Europe.
Trippier has fallen down the pecking order, with Newcastle manager Howe now preferring Timo Livramento over the star on the right side of the defense.
He was an unused substitute in the Newcastle U-21 match against Sunderland, which ended 1-0.
Newcastle Manager Eddie Howe was in attendance to watch the U21 team.
Also, the right back has been stripped of the captaincy, with the manager now preferring Guimarães.
Apart from Everton looking forward to signing him, Atalanta and Galatasaray are also showing interest in the player. West Ham United want to sign the player, but he is not interested in moving to London.
However, Eddie Howe wants the player to stay believing he is capable of impacting the performance of the club positively.
