    TOP STORY: Barca is close to signing Aubameyang, but could Dembele be the next player to leave?

    It looked like Barcelona’s Transfer Deadline Day might finish in a whimper earlier in the day.

    Their talks with Arsenal over a loan deal for striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had apparently broken down, with the Catalan club reportedly only able to pay a small portion of the striker’s £250,000-a-week wage unless they could sell Ousmane Dembele. That’s no longer the case.

    Barca and Arsenal have agreed on a deal that will see Aubameyang join Barca on a free transfer, bringing his four-year stay in north London to an end.

    22:43 GMT: Ousmane Dembele set to remain at Barcelona despite several speculations that player wants a move out of the Spanish side. Fabrizio Romano reported that there were never any ‘open talks’ or ‘interest’ from several clubs as rumoured earlier today.

    22.49 GMT: Dan Burn, centre-back for Brighton & Hove Albion, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Newcastle United, the Magpies have announced. The 29-year-old returns to his boyhood club, where he played until he was 11 years old.

    22.12 GMT: Atletico Madrid has confirmed the signing of Lille’s Reinildo Mandava, a 28-year-old left-back. After assisting Les Dogues to the French title last season, the Mozambican international was selected to Ligue 1’s Best XI and has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Spanish capital club.

    21.56 GMT: Liverpool have reached an agreement with Fulham for the signing of highly rated 19-year-old winger Fabio Carvalho, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Reds are expected to spend roughly €10 million for the England youth international, who will remain at Craven Cottage for the rest of the season.

Trusty will remain with the MLS club until July 17, when he will depart for London.
