Tottenham Hotspur have finalized their transfer deal with Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Archie Gray’s deal is expected to see Spurs pay a fee of around £40m for the highly-rated young talent, who has reportedly accepted the opportunity to join the North London club on a long-term contract.

With personal terms already agreed with Gray, Spurs have beaten other contenders in the race for his signature.

As it stands, negotiations between Tottenham and Leeds are now at an advanced stage, with the finer details of the transfer being ironed out according to Romano.

Romano wrote: “Archie Gray to Tottenham, here we go! Agreement in principle between all parties involved, waiting to sign docs.”

“Spurs are set to pay a fee around £40m, long-term deal for Gray who’s accepted to join #THFC.”

“Joe Rodon to join #LUFC in separate transaction around £10m.”

Meanwhile, Gray reportedly underwent his medicals on Monday, July 1st ahead of his switch from Leeds.

Joe Rodon will be joining Leeds on a permanent deal

In a separate transaction, it is rumored that Joe Rodon will be joining Leeds United for a fee of around £10m following his loan spell at the club during the 2023-24 season.

The Welsh defender is set to make the switch to Elland Road as part of a separate deal, as Tottenham look to offload some fringe players to make room for their new signings.

Meanwhile, Leeds recently turned down a substantial offer from Brentford for Gray, but it seems inevitable that the 18-year-old will leave the club following their failure to gain promotion to the Premier League last season.

The Leeds academy product Gray had been offered a contract worth £75,000-a-week, an attractive package for the 18-year-old midfielder.

There is a belief that Gray’s exit could lead to the team adhering to Profit and Sustainability regulations, putting them in a favorable position in the event of potential offers for Crysencio Summerville.

Gray had an impressive campaign under the guidance of Leeds manager Daniel Farke last season, making a total of 52 appearances in midfield and at right-back.

In addition, his versatility and contributions on the field have made him one of Leeds’ most prized assets, attracting interest from other top clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and West Ham United.

Furthermore, as Leeds and Tottenham work towards finalizing the deal, the potential swap deal involving Gray and Rodon could be a significant move in the summer transfer market.

Both Gray and Rodon will surely have exciting times as they set to make their mark in the Premier League campaign next season.
