So, in this article, we are going to go over the latest news and rumors regarding Manchester United’s bid to acquire one of the best current players from the Spurs.

    Who is Harry Kane?

All English fans, and most international fans of the Premier League will be familiar with Harry Kane. He is fills the role of striker for Tottenham Hotspur, and captains the national football team of England. His skills have made Kane an international star. He is often regarded as one of the best strikers in the world.

The Premier League is one of the most popular football competitions in the world, and certainly the most popular English tournament. If you were to check out any of the UK betting sites, you would find thorough coverage of the Premier League. English punters, as well as bettors from all over the world tune in to place bets on EPL matches. And as online sports betting continues to grow, so too does the popularity of online bookmakers.

Naturally, as it is the top-tier of English football, the Premier League is also the regular stomping ground of some of England’s best players. And even among these stars of the field, Harry Kane manages to set himself apart. With an impressive track record as a striker, an incredible ability to link-up with his team, and some pretty notable playmaking skills, Kane is certainly one of the best that England has to offer.

As we said, he currently fills the role of striker for Tottenham Hotspur. However, his time with the Spurs may not last long. It would seem that Manchester United is doing everything in their power to acquire Harry Kane.

Manchester United’s Attempts to Get Kane

After parting ways with Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United are looking to fill the gap. Of course, the club still has some excellent players, including Marcus Rashford, who is among the top 5 goal-scorers in the 2022/23 iteration of the EPL. However, what they are looking for is someone whose legendary status matches Ronaldo’s. And it seems the candidate they’ve chosen is Harry Kane.

According to major news sources, Manchester United is going all out for Harry Kane. Supposedly, Erik ten Hag, Manchester United’s manager, has expressed a feeling that Harry Kane is the number one priority in 2023. Though the claim is dubious and the sources for it are sparse.

And certainly, the Red Devils could use a boost in attack power. We mentioned Marcus Rashford’s skill. However, Rashford has been carrying the club when it comes to offense. Certainly the addition of Harry Kane to the roster could boost the team’s play, as well as morale.

So, could we possibly see England’s captain wearing Manchester United’s red jersey by the next Premier League? Well, it certainly is a possibility. However, Tottenham Hotspur does not seem willing to give up their ace striker.

    Tottenham Hotspur’s Demands for Kane

Harry Kane has been with the Spurs since 2004, when he first began playing for clubs. Meaning, England’s captain has spent his entire club career playing for Tottenham Hotspur. Throughout the 19-year-career, the club has loaned him out to others. However, for the most part, he has taken the field representing Tottenham’s colors. So, understandably, the Spurs are not willing to give him up for a pittance.

The club manager has made an official statement, saying the cost of Harry Kane is £100 million up front. While it may seem incredibly steep at first, if we take the time to consider Kane’s history with the Spurs, the price begins to sound a little more reasonable. Not only is he the Premier League’s top goal-scorer, he is the Spurs’ all-time best, making it hard for Tottenham to part ways.

Regardless of performance, £100 million is still a little steep. Some theorize that the reason for this high price is that The Spurs are attempting to deter United’s attempts at acquiring their ace striker. According to club management, the £100 million price tag is not definitive, meaning they might just go higher. For their part, United have stated that Harry Kane is a top priority. So, the club might just break the bank and fork over the 100 million.

    The Other Options

Tottenham Hotspur have pretty much gone on record saying they don’t want to give Harry Kane to a home rival. And for good reason. Kane is currently one of the best players England has, which is reflected in his position as national team captain. Still, Manchester United are willing to go the distance for one of the best players in the League.

However, Harry Kane is not their only option. Rumors have circulated linking Manchester United to Napoli’s ace, Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian player would certainly fill the position of striker that Manchester United sorely lacks. However, the rumors that United is willing to go all out for Harry Kane continue to circulate. Meaning he is likely their first choice. Still, £100 million is a bit steep.

But, Manchester United is not the only EPL club in the running for Harry Kane. Apparently, Chelsea have thrown their hat in the ring as well. In a recent interview, Liverpool’s striker Stan Collymore theorized that Harry Kane is very likely to leave the club, mainly due to Antonio Conte’s recent statements and behavior. In a recent rant, Antonio Conte took a potshot at Harry Kane, as well as the rest of the Spurs. So, it perhaps is not farfetched to think that Kane will be leaving the club this summer.

As of right now, Manchester United are the top bidders. Apparently Chelsea are willing to make a play too. Non-English teams may also be interested, though Kane might prefer to remain in England. The outcome of this Harry Kane transfer drama remains to be seen.
