    Tottenham goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, has been ruled out of the rest of the season following a muscle injury.

    According to Spurs head coach, Ryan Mason, the former France internarional will be sidelined for the rest of the season following the injury blow.

    Hugo Lloris’ injury blow is coming amid the piling injury problems for Spurs that has stunted the club’s Premier League fortunes this term.

    English left-back and midfielder, Ryan Sessegnon is also a doubt to return to Tottenham lineup this term after picking up a harmstring injury in February.

    Yves Bissouma is another Tottenham player that has been sidelined since February with an ankle problem with reports emerging he may likely return to the squad before the end of the season

    With Tottenham teetering on the brink of missing out of Champions League football next season, Hugo Lloris injury blow is a big problem to the team.

    Speaking ahead of Tottenham’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday, Ryan Mason confirmed Lloris will not play for the club again this season after a medical report of the injury filtered in.

    “Hugo is out for the season, Mason said.

    “We had the results back. Obviously disappointing. We feared that initially and now we’ve had the results.”

    There are reports, Hugo Lloris may not likely return to the Tottenham goal again. The injury may likely bring his 11-year spell with Spurs to conclusion after his lowly-rated performance for the club of recent.

    Hugo Lloris had a share of the blame following Tottenham’s heavy 6-1 defeat to Newcastle United. If the words of Ryan Mason is anything to go by, then the game against Newcastle United may likely be Hugo Lloris’ last game for Tottenham.

    The French footballer joined Tottenham from Lyon in 2012. He is one of the oldest players at the London club with most Premier League appearances.

    In his over a decade stint with Tottenham, Hugo Lloris has made 447 apearances for the club and was made the captain of the team in 2015 by former manager Mauricio Pochettino.

    The World Cup winner recently retired from France national team after leading the club to their second successive World Cup final in Qatar.

    Before calling time on his international career, Hugo Lloris won 145 caps with France national team since making his debut in 2008.

    He has won two trophies – 2021 UEFA Nations League and 2018 World Cup – in his 14-year stint with the national side.

    However, it appears the highly-rated goalie has failed to replicate his national team success in London, playing an acctive role in the club’s decade of trophy drought.

    Tottenham are already searching for his replacement with reports linking the club to Brentford goalkeeper, David Raya, and Everton’s Nick Pope.
