Tottenham do not have any plans to sack Italian manager Antonio Conte after a section of the fans called for his sacking following Tottenham’s failure to qualify for the Champions League quarterfinals.

Former Inter Milan manager Conte admitted there is uncertainty in terms of his future and doesn’t know whether he is likely to retain the job before the end of this season after Tottenham failed to beat AC Milan to qualify for the next round of the Champions League.

Tottenham, who are out of the Champions League, do not have any titles to fight for, hence the continuation of the 14-year title drought.

The last time Tottenham won a trophy was in 2008.

However, the chairman of the London team, Daniel Levy, may intervene and consider sacking the Italian manager if the team doesn’t improve in the coming weeks and the chances of qualifying for the Champions League fades away.

Levy does not want to make any decision that will be detrimental to the chances of Tottenham qualifying for the Champions League, given the financial benefit that is at stake.

Levy is currently leaving the club’s sporting director, Fabio Paratici, to scrutinize Conte’s role and handles the issue of the manager’s future.

However, Conte’s contract is expected to be due before the beginning of next season, with the former Inter Milan manager having no zeal to continue working with Tottenham.

For the time being, the manager is expected to be in charge of Tottenham’s match against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on March 11, 2023.

However, a defeat to Nottingham Forest can make Tottenham Chairman Levy consider waving his exit axe at the Italian manager.

Tottenham wouldn’t pay a huge compensation bill if Levy made such a decision.

The bill for sacking Conte will not exceed £5 million. Tottenham are in pole position to qualify for the Champions League next season.

The London team are currently in 4th place with 45 points, four points behind third-place Manchester United.

Managers That May Become Tottenham’s Next Manager If Conte Gets Sacked.

Tottenham are reportedly eyeing coaches like Mauricio Pochettino, Steve Cooper, Roberto De Zerbi, Olivier Glasner, and Luis Enrique in case Conte leaves.

Luis Enrique is likely not to come to England as he is set to return to his managerial job.

Other managers linked to the team are unrealistic.

The return of Pochettino will make the fans happy, and Harry Kane, who is Tottenham’s all-time leading goal scorer is hoping to stay at the club under the Argentine coach.

Kane, who is really interested in winning trophies, may decide at the end of the season to leave the club in search of another.

Under Pochettino, Tottenham was in the title race and got to the Champions League final, losing to Liverpool in the process.
