However, a 14-goal haul with 5 assists was enough to convince the Blues’ hierarchy to add him to the list of Chelsea players with long-term contracts.

Below is a list of Chelsea players tied down on a long-term contract for the Chelsea project:

Cole Palmer

Last season’s unexpected signing, Cole Palmer, has taken to life in London like a duck to water. Palmer was signed on August 13, 2024, last season from Manchester City by The Blues on a seven-year contract for a fee in the region of £40m. It took the 22-year-old little time to endear himself to his new supporters.

He recorded a string of good performances, many of which saw him single-handedly win games for the club. His efforts that saw him win the PFA Young Player of the Year award didn’t go unrewarded.

He was offered a new contract that would see him earn £130,000 weekly and a yearly pay of £6,760,000. The contract will further tie him down at the club till June 30, 2033.

Enzo Fernández

Enzo Fernandez is among Chelsea players with long-term contracts. Signed from Benfica on a January winter transfer deal, the Argentine was brought in to bolster the midfield ranks at Chelsea.

The versatile midfielder has made himself a favourite amongst the supporters, who are aware of the talent the 23-year-old possesses.

The sentiments are also shared by the higher ranks at Chelsea, leading them to keep him at the club till June 30, 2032, on a weekly pay of £180,000 and a yearly salary of £9,360,000.

João Félix

Felix was called back to Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal from Atletico Madrid after his previous loan spell there.

The young Portuguese was part of many signings by the English club this summer in a bid to strengthen their ranks. While Felix’s talent is undeniable, the onus is on Enzo Maresca to help him rediscover the form that once made him the football world’s ‘golden boy’.

The 24-year-old is under contract with the team till June 30, 2031. He earns £170,000 weekly and £8,840,000 yearly for his troubles.

Pedro Neto

Pedro Neto was another attacking talent brought into the London capital this summer. The Portuguese winger was signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a permanent deal to boost the club’s attacking options. He is contracted to the club until June 30, 2031, earning £160,000 weekly and £8,320,000 yearly.

Moisés Caicedo

The Ecuadorian was signed from Brighton and Hove Albion to fill the void left by club legend N’golo Kante.

After a rough start to life at the club, Caicedo has slowly started to find his feet and is starting to look like a man capable of filling the role he was brought in for. He will be at the Bridge till June 30, 2031. His weekly wage is £150,000 and £7,800,000 annually.

Mykhailo Mudryk

Mykhailo Mudryk was one of the most sought-after youngsters during his time at Shakhtar Donetsk. Various big European teams tried signing him before he ended up in London with the Blues.

Life at Chelsea has, however, been tough on the 23-year-old. He has struggled to replicate the form that saw the club splash £89m to acquire his services.

While there have been flashes of brilliance, he is yet to find consistency. His current contract will last until June 30, 2031. His wages are £100,000 weekly and £5,200,000 yearly.

Nicolas Jackson among Chelsea players with long-term contracts

Nicolas Jackson was signed from Villarreal to fill the vacant number 9 role and possibly lead the Chelsea frontline for a long time.

The striker has done what he was brought in to do; score goals even though he has been guilty of missing numerous big chances.

Jackson was under contract with Chelsea until June 30, 2031, on a weekly and yearly salary of £65,000 and £3,380,000, respectively. But that has been extended to 2033 on Friday, September 13, 2024. He has reportedly negotiated a pay rise as part of the new agreement but the value has yet to be disclosed.

Speaking on his new deal with the club, Jackson expressed his happiness signing the extension and his commitment to work hard and give the best to the club.

“It feels great the club has confidence in me. I am working very hard. I am very happy to extend my contract and stay here for many years,” he said.

Jackson has already gotten off the mark for the Blues in the ongoing campaign. He has scored twice and provided an assist in the Blues’ first three games.
