As usual, there’s always a frenzy of activities regarding transfer deals on deadline day, with transfers being sorted left, right, and center.
Some clubs got a coup, some took a risk on panic buys, some fans rejoiced, some players were happy with their transfers, and some were unhappy their transfers got canceled.

20) Neto to Arsenal
The Gunners were initially pursuing Espanyol’s Joan Garcia but the Spanish club rejected their offer and insisted on the release clause.
The Gunners turned their attention to Norberto Murara Neto, commonly known as Neto, and they signed the Portuguese on loan from Bournemouth on deadline day.

16) Scott Mctominay and Billy Gilmour to Napoli
Two separate deals happen to be a coup for Napoli on the deadline day of the 2024 summer transfer window. Man United sold Mctominay to Napoli for a deal worth £25 million with a sell-on clause included.
Napoli didn’t stop there; they went ahead to secure the signature of his international teammate, Billy Gilmour, for around £14 million add-ons included.
15) Sebastien Haller to Leganes
It was bound to happen for Sebastien Haller’s name to appear randomly in one of the transfer deals of the 2024 summer transfer window.
The 2024 Africa Cup of Nations winner never really got going at Borussia Dortmund with various injuries and bad forms. Leganes secured his signature on a straight loan with no buy option or mandatory clause.
14) Morato and James Ward-Prowse to Nottingham Forest
Two double swoops on deadline day for two-time European Cup champions Nottingham Forest. Morato joins from Benfica for £12 million plus add-ons.
On the same day, Forest secured a loan deal for set-piece specialist Ward-Prowse from West Ham United.
13) Nayef Aguerd to Real Sociedad
The former Rennes man secured a move to Real Sociedad on a straight loan from West Ham.
A deal that seems to be an offload for West Ham to be able to secure the signature of Carlos Soler.
12) Carlos Soler to West Ham United
The Spaniard secured a move to West Ham United on a season-long loan deal from PSG.
The former Valencia and PSG man will assist in bolstering West Ham’s midfield ranks.
A player who wasn’t able to find his feet at PSG despite his versatility; hopefully, his career gets back on track in England.
11) Tammy Abraham to AC Milan
Abraham was purchased on a loan deal in one of the transfer deals on the deadline day of the 2024 summer transfer window.
He has struggled for form at Roma since returning from that ACL injury. He’ll look to rejuvenate his poaching instincts as jostles for a starting berth alongside Morata and Jovic.
10) Reiss Nelson to Fulham
The Arsenal academy graduate is deemed surplus to requirement, featuring just 29 times for the Gunners last season; most parts were bench appearances. Fulham offered him an escape chance, purchasing him on a straight loan.
9) Odsonne Edouard to Leicester City
The former Celtic marksman joined Leicester City on loan from Crystal Palace.
A 7-goal return in the 2023/24 season and a starting berth were harder to come by since Gasner took charge, and coupled with injuries, Leicester offered him an escape route.
8) Giovanni Lo Celso to Real Betis
He went back to the club, where he produced arguably his best season. Betis secured Lo Celso for an undisclosed fee from Tottenham Reports claim as part of Spurs’ agreement with Betis, they have a ‘priority option’ to sign midfielder Johnny Cardoso.
If Tottenham don’t take up this option, they will retain a sell-on clause for the USA international.
7) Jota to Stade Rennes
Stade Rennes purchased Jota from Al-Ittihad for a fee in the region of £6.7 million. A flop signing for Al-Ittihad in the 2023 summer transfer window, as he was only able to muster 4 goals.
6) Eddie Nketiah to Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace signed Nketiah from Arsenal for £21 million plus a further £4 million in add-ons.
Nketiah found it hard to secure a starting place in Arteta’s XI even as Jesus got injured at times, Havertz was the preferred option.
5) Armando Broja to Everton
Broja was initially reported to be heading to Ipswich Town but the deal fell through as no agreement was reached between the involved parties.
Everton reached an agreement with Chelsea and secured his signature in a loan deal with an obligation to buy for £25 million in the summer of 2025.
He will look to compete with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto for a starting berth.
4) Trevoh Chalobah to Crystal Palace
Chalobah was deemed redundant and exiled from his boyhood club. He finally got his move away from Chelsea on deadline day of the 2024 summer transfer window, as Everton secure his signature on loan, with no option to buy or mandatory clause.
3) Raheem Sterling to Arsenal
The Premier League journeyman heads to Arsenal on a season-long loan move from Chelsea. He is deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea having been told by Maresca that he has no future at the club.
The 4-time PL winner’s move to North London sees him reunite with Arteta having previously worked under the Spaniard during their time together at Man City.
The Gunners will hope his experience will serve as the missing piece to their year-long title pursuit.
2 – Jadon Sancho to Chelsea
Sancho secured a loan move to Manchester United’s arch-rivals Chelsea on deadline day, with an obligation to buy for £20 million, which could rise to £25 million in add-ons based on performances.
Sancho, who cost United a reported £73 million, fell out of favor with manager Ten Hag last season and was subsequently sent out on loan to Dortmund for the second half of last season.
He returned back to the club this season, and both parties claimed to have resolved their differences, but he still failed to make a single appearance for Manchester United this season before being sent to Chelsea.
1) Ivan Toney to Al Ahli

Following negotiations with both Osimhen and Toney, Al Ahli picked the latter, securing him in a deal worth £40 million.
Toney will significantly bolster Al Ahli’s attacking ranks, which already feature the likes of ex-PL stars in the mold of Mahrez and Firmino as they aim to wrestle Al Hilal off their league crown.
Al Ahli will hope Toney replicates his form from the 2022-23 season where he scored 20 goals, finishing third in the scoring charts behind Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.
