Most valuable goalkeepers in the world according to Transfermkt
24-year-old Diogo Costa tops the list with a market value of £45M. The Porto goalkeeper has started all matches for his side this season, keeping 11 clean sheets in his 26 appearances.
Five Goalkeepers are tied on 40M pounds, beginning with Paris Saint Germain goalie Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has kept 10 clean sheets in 22 appearances this season in the Ligue 1.
Third on the list is Gregor Kobel of Borussia Dortmund also on £40M. He has kept 6 clean sheets in 21 appearances so far this season.
Manchester United’s ‘Ball-playing’ goalkeeper Andre Onana comes in fourth place, he’s also worth £40M.
Onana had a pretty poor start at Manchester United, although it’s not particularly his fault as the Red Devils have had a porous defense.
He has conceded 38 goals in 29 appearances in the Premier League alone this season, keeping eight clean sheets.
In fifth place is AC Milan’s Mike Maignan, who has made 26 appearances and conceded 31 goals, keeping 10 Clean Sheets.
Starting the other half of the list is Manchester City’s Ederson Moraes, who comes sixth on the list, and he has made 29 appearances this season in the Premier League, conceding 25 goals and keeping nine clean sheets.
Ederson is not a fan of many because he’s known for the better use of his feet than his hands unlike many other goalies. He’s still the no.1 of the coaches regardless.
Three players sit on the £35M price mark, starting with Giorgi Mamardashvili, Valencia’s 23-year-old Georgian goalkeeper who comes in seventh, and has made 28 appearances this campaign, conceding 32 goals and keeping 9 clean sheets.
Vicario also makes the list
Guglielmo Vicario sits eighth on the list also with a valuation of £35M, making 28 appearances, conceding 42 goals with six clean sheets.
Arsenal Goalkeeper David Raya comes ninth on the log, still at the £35M valuation. The Spaniard has made 22 appearances this season in the Premier League, conceding 19 goals, and keeping nine clean sheets.
Rounding off the top 10 is Liverpool’s Allison Becker who has a lower valuation of £32M.
His stats are almost identical to that of David Raya, as they have both conceded 19 goals, with the difference being that he has made 21 appearances with seven clean sheets.
Other Goalkeepers expected to be on the list like the likes of Jan Oblak, Thibaut Courtois, and Marc Andre Ter Stegen are all not far from the top 10, as they are ranked 11th, 12th and 13th respectively with a valuations of £30M each.
