Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has apologized to the furious fans who blasted him for allowing Ted Lasso producers to stop the club’s tribute to former striker Ray Wilkins.

Since the episode was aired online, the fans have been left furious and have gone ahead to blast the owner, Billy Boehly, and the rest of the club hierarchy, including the Comedy TV Program.

A fan said Todd Boehly’s decision to edit the Wilkins banner is “completely disrespectful”.

Another fan tweeted that he does not need to apologize, stating he is making matters
    worse.

Another Chelsea fans said Boehly should have at least informed the Wilkins family if there was going to be a change on the banner that they use to remember the legend.

Two other fans agreed that Graham Potter is below the standard of the Stamford Bridge club and called for his sack.

The club owner had taken to his Twitter account to apologize to the fans and claim that the agreement to allow the comedy show to edit the banner for the show was made by the club’s former owner Roman Abramovich, in the first financial quarter of 2022.

The lead role in the hit comedy program Lasso is played by an American coach who was appointed at a frictional Premier League club AFC Richmond.

The show is in its third season, and
    the character is much loved.

Following the death of Ray Wilkins, the club unveiled a banner in order to pay tribute to the legendary player.

The banner has always been shown when Chelsea plays at Stamford Bridge.

The banner has an inscription of “they don’t make them like Ray anymore”.

Upon investigation, it was revealed that the organizer of the show had made their own banner to pay tribute to Wilkins, who is a well-known legend in the club.

The former Manchester United and Chelsea player died at the age of 61 due to cardiac arrest.

He made over 200 appearances for the West London side in six years.

He was also part of Carlo Ancelotti, Luiz Felipe Scolari, and Guus Hiddink’s coaching crew at the club. Wilkins won numerous trophies at the club and was loved by many fans.

However, while some fans were angry about the editing of the Wilkins banner, others were clamoring for the change of manager and the purchase of new players, even though the club owner had signed a lot of players.

A fan tweeted that Graham Potter should be sacked and another manager with a winning mentality should be brought in to help the team win titles.

Another Chelsea fan made two requests: one, he wants the club to sign Victor Osimhen because he is the missing piece in the puzzle, and also sack Potter.

The owner is still putting a lot of faith in the manager and believes he is capable of bringing silverware to Chelsea.
