Former Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel’s next plan after his departure from Bayern Munich has been confirmed.
The former Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, and PSG manager is out of the dugout. Bayern Munich ended their collaboration with the 50-year-old after he fell out of the race for the 2023-24 Bundesliga title, ending the club’s 11-year consecutive triumph in the German top-flight.
Since his Bayern Munich exit, Tuchel has been linked to vacant managerial roles littered around top clubs in Europe.
Chelsea, who had brokered an agreement with Leicester City to sign Enzo Maresca, were strongly linked with Tuchel.
Brighton, who parted ways with their manager Roberto De Zerbi a day before the end of the 2023-24 Premier League campaign, were also linked to Tuchel.
Manchester United, who are yet to decide on the future of the current manager Erik ten Hag, are strongly linked with Tuchel as well.
Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Tuchel is open to returning to management immediately following the Bayern Munich deadlock.
”Thomas Tuchel remains keen on getting back to work already this summer, in case of a good opportunity.
“If Manchester United decide to fire Erik ten Hag (still waiting on internal review), Tuchel would be one of the names in the shortlist.
“He’s very keen on PL return.”
Despite a disappointing second season with Bayern, Tuchel still earns his deserved honors for his experience. As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, the German tactician is keen on returning to the Premier League.
With the Chelsea and Liverpool job taken, Tuchel will now be strongly linked with the Man United job. United have yet to decide on Erik Ten Hag’s future but it has been confirmed internal review is ongoing with a decision expected soon.
Should the Red Devils choose to part ways with Erik ten Hag, Tuchel remains one of the most qualified hands to man the dugout at Old Trafford.
