Thomas Tuchel of Chelsea has witnessed his beloved world shatter before his eyes as he has lost his wife to divorce, lost a Premier League match to Brentford, and also lost 3-1 at home to Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday night.
And all this is happening amid the UK government sanctioning the owner of Chelsea Roman Abramovic over relations with Vladimir Putin, this has put the Blues in a tight place with several restrictions that are detrimental to the club.
Below, we will talk about how the last 14 days have been for Thomas Tuchel and what it entails for his mental health.
Brentford Thrashed Chelsea 4:1 at Home
Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel “doesn’t know why” his side “stopped defending” following Saturday’s 4-1 home defeat to Brentford.

Tuchel’s side seized the lead in the 48th minute through Antonio Rudiger but were surprised by Brentford’s three goals in ten minutes, with Vitaly Janelt scoring twice and Christian Eriksen scoring once.
Chelsea’s pursuit of the game came to an end in the 87th minute when substitute Yoane Wissa added Brentford’s fourth.
“Nobody saw it coming, much more so after going ahead 1-0,” Tuchel remarked following the match. “It was quite uncharacteristic of us, and I’m not sure why.
“However, we ceased defending. We were not sufficiently aware of the threat, were careless in our defense, and were penalized.
“In those ten minutes, they made the most of it. Following their third goal, we had a ten-minute period in which we had big, big chances and missed them.
“They lucked out and were clinical enough to score three goals. We failed to defend in the manner required in the Premier League and were punished.”
Tuchel on Wife Divorce
Sissi Tuchel, Thomas Tuchel’s Wife, Files For Divorce After 13 Years With The Chelsea Manager. Tuchel married Sissi in 2009 when he was still living and working in Germany.
Sissi was a journalist in Germany but left to raise her and her husband’s two daughters.
The entire family relocated to France in 2018 after Tuchel, a former Mainz and Dortmund coach, took over at Paris Saint-Germain.
They then relocated to the United Kingdom in August, seven months after Tuchel was appointed manager of Chelsea.
Tuchel, his wife, and their two children were photographed on the pitch at the Estadio do Dragao in Portugal two months prior to Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League final victory against Manchester City.
However, Mrs. Tuchel filed for divorce this week, according to The Mail on Sunday.
The publication quoted a source as saying: “Sissi and Thomas attempted to avert a split, but there was no other way.
“It’s heartbreaking, and now it’s all about ensuring their daughters come first. Last Monday, papers were filed to initiate the divorce.”
The news surfaced late on Saturday, just hours after Chelsea were beaten 4-1 at Stamford Bridge by Brentford.
Tuchel said that the defeat against Brentford surprised him, stating that his players “ceased defending” after going ahead 1-0.
Real Madrid Beat Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge
Real Madrid defeated Chelsea 3-1 in what was their greatest performance of the season.

Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick and Madrid led 2-0 after 24 minutes.
Vinicius was an ever-present danger on the left. Chelsea were unable to contain his pace and brilliance on the break as he set up his partner in crime Benzema for the game’s opening goal, a header past Mendy.
Modric then curled a lovely ball into the path of Benzema, who leaned back to head across goal and double Madrid’s lead.
Kai Havertz’s third goal of the evening and third header of the game before halftime restored Chelsea’s lead.
Within a minute of the second half beginning, Benzema had completed his hat-trick, pressuring Rudiger, who had received a poor ball from Mendy, to rob the ball and throw it into an empty night for his second Champions League hat-trick in a row.
Chelsea had a few chances to reclaim the lead, including a header from six yards by Lukaku.
Madrid returns to the Spanish capital with a commanding lead ahead of next week’s second leg at the Santiago Bernabéu.
