Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey has reportedly dumped Christianity for Islam according to viral reports. On March 18, 2022, the picture of the Ghanaian footballer surfaced on social media showing the Arsenal star posing with a local London Imam to confirm his new status.
The London Imam took to his Instagram page @muslimathletes to announce that the footballer has successfully converted to Islam. In his post, Thomas Partey was seen holding one side of a huge Quaran while the Imam held the second side of the Holy Book.
In the second picture on the Instagram post, Partey was seen standing side by side with the religious cleric. While in the third slide, the Muslim cleric was seen seating on a couch side by side with the footballer dressed in different attire.
In the caption on the three pictures, the Imam wrote: “Thomas Partey has converted to Islam today. Barakallah brother”.
Also, a renowned British football writer, Connor Humm, who is also an Islamic advocate, took to Twitter to announce that Partey has converted to Islam.
In the caption, the football writer wrote: “Thomas Partey has converted to Islam. Congratulations @Thomaspartey22”, with a love emoji.

At the time of publishing this report, the Ghanian footballer has not publicly confirmed whether he has converted to Islam as it has been widely reported.
However, a report by Pulse.GH claimed that a source close to the footballer has confirmed that Partey had converted to Islam.
A comment from the source read: “Yes, he has converted to Islam. It’s true [Partey is now a Muslim”.
