Thiago Silva was an unused substitute in the FIFA World Cup qualification match between Brazil and Bolivia on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. After the 4-0 win over Bolivia, the 37-year-old Brazilian defender flew to England to resume work at Chelsea.
A day after he arrived at Stamford Bridge, coach Thomas Tuchel drafted him to play against Brentford in a Premier League game on Saturday.
Unfortunately, Brentford defeated Chelsea 4-1 with Thiago Silva caught overlapping and not able to track back as speedily as expected.
After the game, Belle Silva made a video and posted it on her Instagram page with 488,000 followers. In the video, the Brazilian lady claimed that the commentator of the Chelsea vs Brentford Premier League game said Thiago Silva was not ‘attacking enough’ even though the 37-year-old is a central defender.
Belle Silva urged the critics of her husband to show him some respect, noting that the Brazil international has been playing professional football since he was 20-year-old.
She said: ‘I’m here in my box at Stamford Bridge. I just listened back to the commentary right now and what the commentator said.
“‘Thiago is not attacking enough.’ Respect him, please. Thiago Silva arrived yesterday as he played for Brazil. Thiago Silva is very tired, and he’s 37-years-old. He’s played since he was 20-years-old so respect to him- he’s not a machine, he’s human, so he needs to relax, alright.”
