Thiago Silva of Chelsea has taken to his Instagram account to react to the sacking of Thomas Tuchel and his staff after a distraught performance against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League Group stage match.

The former PSG captain said: “Beyond being good professionals, you and your staff were amazing human beings. It is a real privilege to meet you. Thank you for everything, but I wish I could be helpful. God bless you and your family.”

Other Chelsea players had reacted to the sacking of the new manager, which did not sit well with some of them in the dressing room.

He joined Chelsea after he was sacked by PSG, and he went on to be successful in his first season at the club, winning the Champions League as underdogs and making it to the FA Cup final.

The manager continued to impress the fans with the Carabao Cup and FA Cup finals, which he lost to Liverpool on penalties. In his second season, he won the FIFA Club World Cup and the Super Cup.

He also qualified for the Champions League last season. Silva was part of his team that had successful seasons.

Silva scored five goals and provided four assists in 88 appearances for Chelsea under Tuchel. Chelsea also had a formidable defense with Silva and Antonio Rudiger bullying world-class strikers.

The Brazilian, who had played under Tuchel at two different clubs, does not seem happy with Chelsea’s decision.

Todd Boehly’s sacking had divided fans, with some supporting the behavior of the club’s management and others claiming they should have given him more time and that he was the best manager they ever had.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has appointed another manager, Graham Potter, who will take charge of the club against Fulham in the Premier League.

The Potter style of play attracted Boehly, who believes he can make Chelsea the best in the world. Potter makes use of the 4-4-2 formation and a 3-4-2-1 contrary to the Tuchel stagnant formation.

Potter had only won a single trophy in his career as a manager, and that was the Sweden Cup in the 2016/17 season.

In the Premier League, Potter’s winning stats are 28.3% in 120 matches. These stats show Chelsea fans should expect the worst.

What Next For Chelsea and Silva?

The English FA has canceled the Premier League matches for this weekend in honor of the late Queen Elizabeth II. Before her demise, Silva and Chelsea were scheduled to play their second London derby this season against Fulham at Craven Cottage on September 10, 2022, at 12:30 pm. But the game has been postponed indefinitely.

The new manager, Potter, will be looking forward to trying his best for the team. The former Brighton manager can change Chelsea’s narrative this season and revive the careers of underperforming players.

Next week, Chelsea will welcome AC Milan at Stamford Bridge for their second Champions League group game of the season, which is going to be a real test for Potter.
