Tanguy Ndombele has continued to offend people at Tottenham Hotspur over his inability to establish himself under coach Antonio Conte and the previous coaches at the club.

The 25-year-old French central midfielder is not happy that he has not been playing regularly at Tottenham Hotspur especially after the arrival of coach Antonio Conte.

Recall that Tanguy Ndombele also struggled under coach Jose Mourinho during the 2020-2021 season which means that he has not done enough to merit as much game time as he wants.

Unfortunately for him, the supporters of Tottenham Hotspur are also growing impatient with his inability to establish himself at the club for over three seasons.

Recall that Tottenham Hotspur bought Tanguy Ndombele from French Ligue 1 side, Lyon on July 2, 2019. The Premier League side paid a club-record €60 million to bring the 25-year-old French midfielder to the club.

Initially, supporters of Tottenham Hotspur thought Ndombele would be the club’s standout player but that has not happened despite the series of opportunities he had to prove himself at Spurs.

Since he arrived at Tottenham Hotspur, Ndombele has scored 4 goals and provided 16 assists in 96 games in all competitions. As he is not playing regularly at the club level, he is not also playing regularly for France’s national team. Since he made his debut for the national team on October 11, 2018, he has managed to make just 7 appearances.

So far this season, Tanguy Ndombele has made 9 appearances in the Premier League in which he scored a goal and provided an assist.

On Sunday, January 9, 2022, during Tottenham Hotspur FA Cup third-round game against League One side, Morecambe, coach Conte decided to start Ndombele. Afterward, the coach decided to substitute him when Tottenham were a goal down.

After he was substituted, he walked off the pitch like there was nothing at stake. For walking off the pitch so slowly when Tottenham were looking for a goal, the club’s supporters booed him. He didn’t stop there, he walked straight to the locker room instead of the bench.

However, coach Conte got his substitution right as his team went on to beat the League one team 3-1. After the game, the coach was asked to react to the supporters’ decision to boo the French footballer, the coach said: “This type of situation, they are in football.

“You have to be good to change the opinions”, Conte added. “I was a player and it happened sometimes to me that someone was unhappy with my performance.

“This is our life. It’s OK. We have to continue to work and try to be better next time. We have to know very well that if we perform well, the fans are happy. If you don’t perform well, the fans are not happy.”

Based on the situation of the French player at the Premier League side, it is not likely that he would remain at the club until the end of his contract which will expire on June 30, 2025.
