Tahiti Chong is a young lad with many potential who plays for the Netherlands national team and is also under the U-21 for Manchester United. He has also made his senior debut for United and have been said to be one of the upcoming greats. While his may all be true, the 20 year old is now looking to take his talent elsewhere. Rumors have it that the youngster is poised to leave Manchester United at the end of the season after his agent indicated that his relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has broken down. Greenwood and Williams has no doubt Ole’s favorite of the youth stars as Chong and Gomes are barely getting any play time.

Chong, 20, will be out of contract at the end of the season. It is believed he will no renew his contract since having a falling out with the United boss. Reasons for the fallout is unclear but rumors going round suggest, Ole is trying to build his team around more English players. This come as a surprise being Ole is not English but in fact, Norwegian. Ching has now been linked with a possible move to Juventus and Inter Milan. The Times report that the Dutch youth international could be in line for a five-year deal at either Italian side worth around £50,000-per-week.

United have tried to extend Chong’s current contract at Old Trafford, but to no avail. Now, comments from his agent, Erkan Alkan, suggest Solskjaer’s handling of Chong is behind his decision to look elsewhere for first team football.

Speaking to Voetbal International , Alkan said: “He [Solskjaer] has different views on Tahith than the leadership.

“A coach thinks about himself, I think about my player. He has come to a point where he feels that he is not going any further. Then it’s time to look further.”

Solskjaer has spoken about Chong’s contract situation, saying a “very good” offer is on the table and it was up to the player to sign.

“There are players we want to get signed [up to new contracts] and Tahith is a player we think is going to develop,” Solskjaer said.

“We’ve offered him a very good contract and the ball is in his court” the United Boss added.

Chong has played more times for United’s U23s this season than for the first team, but has seen fellow academy youngsters Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams become important members of Solskjaer’s first team. He has played just 24 minutes of Premier League action this season, and hasn’t featured since starting the FA Cup third round draw at Wolves.

The Netherlands Under-21 international joined United from Feyenoord in 2016 and impressed during his spell in the club’s youth ranks. He went viral on social media following his eye-catching reserves debut against Tottenham in January 2018, leading many United fans to believe this lad was a future superstar.

United lost to Burnley on Wednesday in a shocking 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford. Fans have called on the United boss, Solskjaer, to resign as well as Club management Woodward.
