Super agent Pimenta has refused to rule out a possible Barcelona move for Erling Haaland as she hints on a possible irresistible offer from the Catalans in the future.
The renowned agent linked to other top football stars like Paul Pogba hint on a possible, record-breaking offer from Barcelona for the Premier League sensation.
Teasing the possible future offer which could run into a billion pound, Pimenta admitted she “can’t say no to Barcelona” with such amount brought forward for Erling Haaland in the future.
Meanwhile, Erling Haaland has been a revelation in the Premier League, scoring left, right, and center to break and set new records.
The Norwegian football sensation joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund last summer, and has effectively dismantled the negative stereotype of the Bundesliga as ‘farmers league.’
He has scored 31 goals in 27 appearances for the Citizens already and has crossed the number of goals scored by Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-min last season to win the Premier League golden boot.
Before Pimenta ascended into the scene as a big shot in overseeing deals and transfers of big-name players, Mino Raiola was incharge.
Popularly regarded as a super-agent with five-star deals for heavyweights in the game, Mino Raiola passed on at the age of 54 in May 2022.
According to reports, Mino Raiola asked Pimenta to take over from him before he died, because she was very close to him.
Mino Raiola had a number of big-name players managed by his company, including the likes of Erling Haaland before his death.
Now, Raphael Pimenta is in-charge of all the top stars on-board, and is hoping to complete other major and breakthrough deals in the nearest future.
Discussing the future of Erling Haaland with Spanish publication AS, Raphael Pimenta hinted on a possible future move of the Manchester City star to LaLiga.
She pointed at her late master Raiola’s relationship with the elite Spanish League, including with Barcelona president Joan Laporte.
Speaking with the Spanish publication, Pimenta said there is nothing Joan Laporte would asked for that she will not do.
She said: “I always say that Laporta can’t ask me for anything in football, he’s not fair, because he knows I’m going to say ‘yes’.”
Pimenta’s comment tacitly admits that Joan Laporte’s request for a possible deal to sign Erling Haaland could not be turned down.
However, she went ahead to admit, Erling Haaland is “married” to City until 2027, allaying the fears of City fans.
On the value of Erling Haaland in the future, Pimenta estimated it at £1bn. She, however, said no club would be willing to pay that much for a player but maintain Haaland deserves the cost when digital contents, sponsorships, and other revenue streams accruing to the club are are added up.
Before venturing into football, Raphael Pimenta ventured into legal practice. She is a law veteran with a professorship in international law.
She reportedly worked with late Mino Raiola for 18 years before finally taking over after the latter died in 2022.
