Major League Soccer team St. Louis City SC have signed Henry Kessler from the New England Revolution for a transfer fee worth $600,000.
In addition, the St. Louis City football club traded defender Tim Parker for the signature of Henry Kessler.
Parker and Kessler are both cup-tied and won’t be participating in the MLS League Cup matches. After the completion of the signing, St. Louis City SC sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel revealed the kind of player Henry Kessler they have signed.
He said, “Henry is a quality centre back with national team experience since being draughted in 2020. He is an aggressive defender, and his vision with the ball will make him a great addition to our defence.”
Kessler, who was in the draft for the MLS Superdraft in 2020, made 98 appearances in all club competitions. On an international level, Kessler has been capped twice by the United States of America men’s football team.
He made his international debut for the United States of America men’s football team during the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2021.
He helped the United States of America men’s team win the Gold Cup for the seventh time in their history.
