The “kissgate” scandal involving Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales and World Cup winner Jennifer Hermoso continues to birth new dynamics.
From health issues to new alleged evidence that could turn the scandal on its head, this matter appears to be pregnant with so much information.
The happenings seem to be taking a toll on the mother of Luis Rubiales, as she has been rushed to the hospital due to health complications.
Mother Angeles Bejar is suffering a “panic attack”, which has caused her to “abandon” the third day of her hunger strike over her son’s issues.
Bejar was staging the protest at a church in Motril, southern Spain, and it was there that she apparently suffered the health issue.

Rubiales’ mother had to be urgently rushed to the hospital for proper care and adequate medical attention.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday evening, the parish priest, Father Antonio shared to the media that Angeles Bejar would speak at 6:15 pm local time.
Unfortunately, about 20 minutes later, Father Antonio came out to reveal the bombshell concerning the health of Bejar.
He revealed the reason for her health issue, expressing that she was “remarkably nervous”.
Antonio said: “The discomfort was due to high temperatures and other factors. She had swelling in her feet and obvious signs of fatigue. In addition, she was remarkably nervous.”
Luis Rubiales’ mother, Angel Bejar had revealed earlier in the week that she would not eat, due to what her son is currently going through.
She termed the ongoings as an “inhuman” treatment of her son, who according to her, didn’t do anything wrong.
Wednesday, August 30, 2023, was the third day of her hunger strike, and her admission to the hospital came about 24 hours after she had maintained that she wouldn’t leave the premises of the church “until she dropped”.
It is unknown if Angeles Bejar would still stick to her hunger strike, but Father Antonio said: “She won’t be coming back here even when she has recovered.”
He also revealed that from his “understanding”, Bejar would have to do away with her hunger strike for the time being.

The parish priest said: “She still wasn’t eating and was just drinking water and isotonic drinks but my understanding is she’ll have to break her hunger strike now.”
Those in support of Angeles Bejar have surrounded the church, holding flowers and placards urging the devoted mother to continue being strong.

Luis Rubiales, who was told to step down from his Spanish FA role but refused, was subsequently suspended by FIFA from all football-related activity for 90 days.
Despite the suspension, he appears to be undeterred in securing “justice”. On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, the 46-year-old sent FIFA a puzzling footage.
The video showed Jennifer Hermoso and the Spanish women’s football team having a good laugh about the “disreputable” kiss.
Journalist Alvise Perez shared the clip to X, formerly known as Twitter, and it showed Hermoso laughing at a meme concerning the kiss.
It is unknown if this clip negates the claim made by Hermoso that the kiss wasn’t consensual, with Luis Rubiales initially expressing that it was.
The counter statements made by Jennifer Hermoso was what led to Rubiales’ mother deciding to go on a hunger strike.
